Veteran memorials

Search a name.
Scan a code.
Meet the veteran.

Find a veteran buried in Washington, or scan the code on a marker, and their story opens on the phone in your hand. Nothing to install.

How it works

  1. 01

Scan the code at the marker

A small plaque carries the code. Point your phone camera at it. No app to install, nothing to sign in to.

  2. 02

    Read their story

The page opens in seconds: name, rank, branch, service dates, the story their family wrote, and their photographs.

  3. 03

    Add a memory

Family and friends send a story or photos from the page. Welcome Back Home reviews everything before it is added.

The memorials

Each page has its own address and its own printed code.

Veteran records

82,133 veterans you can look up right now

Every veteran buried in Washington whose burial the Department of Veterans Affairs records is already here: name, service dates, branch, rank, and the cemetery, with the source shown on every page. These are records, not memorial pages. A family can claim one, add the story and the photographs, and it becomes a memorial with its own code.
